Versioning

Versioning keeps dated or serialised copies of every different version of a piece of content. This allows the scheduling of content on and off the web. Keeping every version of a document enables the system to accommodate Rollback to a previous version. Old versions become an archive of content. This enables similar content to be created and published for different purposes. Versioning also describes multiple versions of a piece of content, created for different purposes. A derivative becomes a new piece of content, and a version of the original.
