User Permissions

WORKSsitebuilder enables different user types to interact with the system with the appropriate permissions and visibility...

WORKSsitebuilder administrative users are provided with a unique login and user profiles including user role and permission settings. Users can be placed into groups with shared permission settings to provide improved user and website security. Defined settings ensure that users are only given access and permissions to the tools that they require to perform their role (e.g. advertising management, content management, reporting etc). This enables different user types and stakeholders to interact with the admin site with the appropriate permissions and visibility.

Client-server confidentiality and data integrity are provided by server based user role and session management which negates the use and inherent issues of client side cookies.

We also provide the option of using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) on the administration interface. This requires acquisition (or use of) of a server certificate valid for the domain on which the website is hosted. Using SSL provides added security by ensuring end-to-end data integrity between client and server.

The WORKSsitebuilder LDAP module is available to provide seamless integration with an external LDAP directory server or the Windows Active Directory* reducing the administrative overhead of managing multiple user databases. Users are imported from the external directory service and rights and roles are mapped to groups and roles on the directory server. When a user logs on the specified username and password are authenticated against the directory service.

* LDAP and Windows Active directory are similar services used single point of administration and of control user rights and authentication across the enterprise.
