ROUTES TO MARKET ASSOCIATION CASE STUDY
Client The Routes to Market Association (RTMA) is a forum for senior managers to discuss channel, distribution marketing issues and strategies. RTMA membership is for senior sales and marketing management charged with developing and implementing their organisation's routes to market strategy, usually on a Pan-European basis.
Brief The RTMA required a solution that satisfied a number of criteria:
- Has a searchable online information resource database for members.
- Has a searchable members database for community building that facilitates essential 'corporate networking.'
- Provides an informative and accessible site that enables users to quickly and easily navigate to relevant information.
- Is a Content Managed Solution allowing for authorised users to append information on the site remotely.
Solution WORKSsitebuilder provided the perfect, cost effective, solution for the RTMA site. At it simplest WORKSsitebuilder allowed event convenors to introduce the event and themselves on the RTMA website, and for delegates to make group bookings. In addition post-event spoeakers can relevant event documents to the resources database for website members to view.
The WORKSsitebuilder user registration and event management modules were tailored to the RTMA's needs in order to moderate several levels of author and editor and site user permissions. The module was customised to provide each member email notification when information relevant to them had been updated. The module also allowed for management of mailing lists and the sending of personalised emails from within the administration area of WORKSsitebuilder.
WORKSsitebuilder's community management features were used to their full incorporating a searchable database of members and their industry backgrounds, members have the ability to join discussion forums, discuss and rank articles and interact with each other. These features promote the important 'corporate networking.'
Finally 'Articles' and other 'Resources' and categorised and presented using the 'Theme Engine' providing for dynamic linking of content by subject within the site.
